TRAINING & BEHAVIOUR

FOR DOGS EXHIBITING FEAR, PHOBIA, ANXIETY AGGRESSION, HYPER-AROUSAL, ELIMINATION PROBLEMS ETC

• About an hour at home, in park or online.

• We assess your dog and demo the first steps of the plan you need to put in place, which will be emailed to you within 48hrs with videos and sheets to remind you what to do as well as further background reading if you wish.

• For some dogs this is all you will need. For others you will need follow ups for next steps of the plan or to help you put the plan into practice.

• Typically 3-5 sessions but can be less or more. Follow ups are typically slightly shorter but we allow for the full hour.

TO HELP RAISE PUPPIES TO BE CALM, CONFIDENT & WELL-MANNERED OR ADDRESS SIMPLE TRAINING CONCERNS LIKE RECALL Or LOOSE LEAD WALKING.

• About an hour at home, in park or online.

• We will teach you how to fix your adult training concern and for puppies and adults Spot potential issues to focus our sessions on.

• The full Puppy Course is typically 4-5 sessions teaching core foundation behaviours but most importantly how to use these to safely give your pup the freedom they deserve and be able to cope with the world.

• Adult training concerns; typically about two issues can be covered in one session. Usually you will want a follow up for next steps and to help get the behaviour with more challenging distractions.

IF WALKING YOUR DOG IS STRESSFUL OR THEY HAVE TO BE ON LEAD THEN THIS IS FOR YOU.

• In a training walk, one of our trainers takes your dog out on a 121 walk actively practicing your training plan and looking for your dogs triggers in order to get as many repetitions of practice in as is suitable for your dog.

• Behaviour consult is usually required first to create the plan and to show you what you need to be keeping up on the days we are not training.

• This may progress to training group where they are worked within the group in order to eventually move to normal group and drop the price and get them off lead!

• Note training must be actively maintained by you.

• Price, usually £58/ hr + parking but £52 or £75 depending on your trainer. If an assistant can ultimately take over, price can be lowered.

In a pre ownership consultation we aim to do the best we can to avoid future behaviour problems such as fear, phobia, anxiety, reactivity and resource guarding by discussing:

• What’s Breeds are right for you?

• Puppy or rescue and if rescue what age?

• If a puppy what litter should you get that breed from?

• Once the litter is chosen then we ask for videos and from that discuss which one from that litter is right for you?

We are offering this as genetic Pre Disposition plays a massive part in who your dog will become. So too does inherited breed traits and whether your lives can accommodate these.

Your puppies' experience between 0-8 weeks also plays a massive part in your dogs long term behaviour. So you may have got everything possible right from 8 weeks but the behaviour problems were already at a high risk of happening.

So getting it right with your dog from the start, begins before you choose your dog.

These consults are available remotely via zoom.

FOR PUPPIES/NEW DOGS

• We will take your dog/ puppy out and expose them to a variety of common triggers.

• We will then provide a yellow/Red flag report for each trigger.

• In the follow up we will provide a plan of how best to mitigate these becoming more serious issues in the future.

• For example a pup who is not positively curious of a stranger/ freeze/ hides we will want to overcompensate with helping them be a secure dog around people to minimise the chance of them becoming reactive to people in adolescence.

FOR PUPPIES

• 3 articles and or videos with instruction’s per week (or all at once).

• Complimentary 10-minute video call per week

• Longer video calls £65/ hr.
